
This year he’s the replacement driver for his wife who just had their child in NHRA’s Top Fuel. He says it’s like learning a new skill. He’s been racing for more than 46 years, doing everything from go-karts to INDYCAR to NASCAR.
His favorite to drive was dirt midgets because they’re light and the power to weight ratio makes it easy to manipulate.
Besides just racing, Stewart also focuses on giving back to his community. For the past 15 years or so he’s been involved with the Texas Speedway Children’s Charities. He’s just shy of raising $2 million for the charity. He plans on doing this as long as he can.
