Extended Outlook
The extended outlook calls for more clouds on Tuesday, with highs in the low 60s.
Wednesday looks to be partly sunny, with highs again near 60, followed by more clouds and slightly cooler temps in the upper 50s for Thursday.
Friday then looks pretty soggy, with rain in the afternoon and highs in the upper 50s, followed by cooler temps on Saturday and lingering rain showers in the morning.
Chicago precipitation chances
There are a couple chances for spotty showers in the coming days, but organized rainfall is not likely.
Area rainfall is generally on the light side, less than a quarter-inch, and will do little to help the current drought conditions.
Warm-up ahead?
A warm-up commences early this week, including at least one day in the 60s.
A large swath of above normal temperatures covers the entire Western U.S. and eastward into the Plains and Midwest.
