MAP: Percentage of SNAP, food stamp recipients by county in Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) ended Nov. 1, leaving hundreds of thousands of Arkansans facing increased food insecurity, and it is currently uncertain whether the program will resume later this week.

The maps below show where SNAP recipients live across the state and how Arkansas compares to other states in program participation.

To view the percentage of households receiving Food Stamps/SNAP, those that have children under 18 and the median income of those households, hover over a county.

FOX 16 is compiling local resources for those affected by food insecurity and the ongoing government shutdown, which can be found here.
