Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 1:23 p.m. to the 10200 block of John Jay Drive, the listed address for Amber Woods Apartments, in response to a possible shooting in the area. IMPD said officers arrived and located a juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds. They were last reported to be in stable condition.
IMPD said detectives believe at this time that the shooting was likely self-inflicted. However, the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. As of this article’s publication, IMPD has not confirmed the age or gender of the victim.
