SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Guardsman Pass and Alpine Loop have officially closed for the season, according to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).
Guardsman Pass, the byway connecting Park City, Heber Valley and Big Cottonwood Canyon, closed on Sunday. It was the first seasonal road in Utah to close for the season.
UDOT shared that the Alpine Loop has also closed for the season as of Monday, Nov. 3.
The Alpine Loop connects Salt Lake City, Ouray, and Silverton and passes up to 12,800 feet. The loop marks just the second seasonal road to be closed this season.
More information on Utah’s seasonal roads can be found on UDOT’s website.
