Police responded just before 10 p.m. Sunday to a 911 caller who reported a stabbing had occurred at TopSpin, a bar located on South Lakeline Boulevard, according to Cedar Park Police Chief Mike Harmon.

Officers located a person who they believed to be a suspect. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, and the suspect came to a stop a roughly a mile away. Harmon said that the suspect pulled out a gun, with officers shooting at the suspect and killing them.

“The officers are placed on administrative leave with pay. That’s department policy,” Harmon told reporters Sunday night. “We do have the Texas Rangers assisting us with the officer-involved shooting.”

No officers were injured during the incident.
