The Shreve Memorial Library Board of Control contracted Bradbury Miller Associates (BMA) to assist in filling the position.
The Executive Director position has been vacant since the passing of former Executive Director John Tuggle in September 2024.
During the application period, BMA conducted a nationwide search and received applications from qualified candidates.
Don Howard, Shreve Memorial Library Board of Control President, said, “We are excited to move into this next phase.”
“We have received some great candidates and hope to have a new Executive Director before the end of the year.”
Board of Control Members Reggie Abrams, Don Howard, Deborah Yarborough, and Dottie Bell comprise the Executive Director Search Committee.
They will meet with BMA representatives in early November to review the applicant pool and conduct interviews with selected applicants in mid-November.
They will present their recommendation of finalists to the Library Board of Control at the board’s December 1 regular meeting, and the full Board of Control will conduct final interviews in mid-December.
