Shooting reported near Ball State University campus

MUNCIE, Ind. – An investigation is underway after a shooting was reported near Ball State University’s campus Saturday morning.

According to a post from the Ball State University’s Police Department, the department was assisting the Muncie Police Department with a shooting investigation in the area of N. Rosewood Avenue & W. Bethel Avenue at 1:15 a.m.

Ball State PD said there is no ongoing threat to the campus, but investigators did stay at the scene.

No additional details were provided about any possible injuries.
