Rain hits Portland to start November
Rainfall amounts will approach 1″ in the valley and up to 2″ along the coast and in the Coast Range on Saturday. This will be a fairly warm system, so snow will stay above the Cascade mountain tops this weekend.
Daytime highs will cool into the upper 50s and lower 60s on Saturday as rain continues to fall moderately at times. The rain will begin to back off in the afternoon along the coast, then spread into the valley. If you have evening plans tonight, you should get some dry time.
Sunday is looking much better, with a few lingering showers in the morning and then plenty of afternoon clearing.
Looking ahead, next week is going to be fairly wet, but nothing extreme. This is about average for the first week of November.
Speaking of November, it is one of the wettest months of the year in the Portland area, and next week will likely live up to that historical average.
