(KRON) — One person is dead and another suffered minor injuries after a fire broke out at an apartment on the 1500 block of Filbert Street in San Francisco Halloween night.
The fire ignited on the third floor of the apartment building shortly before 9:25 a.m. and firefighters began battling the fire at 9:41 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department said.

Two dogs and two cats were rescued from the building.

Firefighters gained control of the fire by 10:21 p.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
