Needles inside Halloween candy reported by families in Berea, Richmond
Officials with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office took to social media over the Halloween weekend to warn the public after reports of needles being found in candy that had been sealed in its wrapper.
Officers in Glasgow posted on Facebook around 8 a.m. on Sunday, asking families to double and triple-check candy and treats that they got while trick-or-treating after photos were sent to the department showing needles inside a candy bar.
