Dallas Cowboys quaterback Dak Prescott returns home for field dedication
Prescott will receive a hometown welcome during an official field dedication ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Harlan Stadium. The former Haughton Buccaneer wore the number 6 during his high school playing days.
A standout both on and off the field, Prescott has remained deeply connected to his alma mater. According to a news release, over the years, he has hosted youth football camps, donated sports equipment and uniforms, purchased school supplies, and sponsored athletic events.
Before the start of the 2025 football season, Prescott donated more than $1 million to the school to construct Louisiana’s largest video scoreboard and revamp the weight room where he once trained alongside his teammates, according to a news release.
The Prescott Field dedication ceremony will serve as a fundraiser for Haughton Athletics. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased online through Local Level Event Tickets. Bossier Parish School Board employees will receive free admission with an employee ID.
Each K–12 student ticket includes entry into a drawing to win one of ten footballs autographed by Prescott during the event.
Community members are invited to join in celebrating Prescott’s lasting impact on Haughton High and his continued support of local athletics.
