8-year-old girl reported missing out of Salt Lake City

Update 11/1, 10 a.m.: Police believe Amani was last seen near 1375 South Concord Street wearing a lady bug costume.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — An 8-year-old girl has been reported missing out of Salt Lake City, according to Salt Lake City Police.

Mauwa Meshack Amani, 8, was reportedly last seen around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the area of 1630 West 1700 South. She is believed to be wearing a red and black shirt, black pants, and a witch hat, police said.

If have any information regarding Amani’s whereabouts, please call 911 immediately.

What should you do if someone goes missing?

The first thing to do is call local law enforcement and report the case. Utah officials say there is no required waiting period to report a missing person. In an emergency, call 911.
