53-year-old man dies after crash in Edina

A 53-year-old man is dead after a car crash in Edina on Friday night.

At around 7:15 p.m., Edina police were called to a crash at the intersection of Morningside Road and France Avenue. Authorities say the man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

His identity has not been released at this time.

Law enforcement says that France Avenue from 44th Street to Glendale Terrace was closed for crash reconstruction until about 8:30 p.m.
