According to ASP officials, a state trooper attempted to stop a driver speeding on Interstate 30. Special agents said the driver exited at the Geyer Springs Road and continued at more than 100 mph.
During the chase, state troopers said the driver reached speeds over 130 mph before taking the McDaniel Drive exit. The driver struck another vehicle while on a service road and crashed at a local business, causing a fire.
The suspect, a 20-year-old Little Rock man, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a hospital for treatment.
State troopers said they were able to get one of two victims out of the burning car, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim who was struck was not injured.
