Three Texas cities top list for best business travel spots

DALLAS (KDAF) — A new report by SIXT business, a corporate car rental provider, has uncovered the best U.S. cities for business travel based on factors like the number of coworking locations, conferences, trade shows, and networking events per 100,000 people, access to international airports nearby, business-focused hotels in the area, and more.

Dallas ranks as the #1 U.S. city for business travelers. With nearly two Fortune 500 companies, nearly five coworking spaces, and about 55 conferences, trade shows, and networking events per 100k people, the city is brimming with opportunities to connect and grow year-round. Over 80% of Dallas’s hotels are business-focused – offering amenities like meeting rooms, business centers, and free WiFi to help keep travelers connected while away from their home office.

Irving secures the #2 spot as the best U.S. city for business travelers. With nearly five Fortune 500 companies and 13 coworking spaces per 100k people, there’s plenty of opportunity for flexible work options in the city. Business networking is booming here as well, with nearly 30 conferences, trade shows, and networking events per 100k people. 

Arlington rounds out the ranking as the #10 best U.S. city for business travelers, and the third Texas city in the ranking, showcasing the state’s strength as a corporate hub. With over three Fortune 500 companies and 11 coworking spaces per 100k people, the city supports both large businesses and flexible workforces. Though it hosts fewer professional events, access to the region’s thriving professional scene makes Arlington a well-connected business travel destination.
