TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A Taylorsville man has been arrested after three victims reported that he sexually abused them when they were young children, more than 20 years ago.
Kenneth Brian Krogh, 55, was arrested on three counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony. He has not been formally charged.
According to the arrest statement, on Oct. 1, 2025, the Taylorsville Police Department was contacted by a family member of Krogh, who disclosed that he was accused of sexually assaulting multiple victims in the late 90s and early 2000s.
One of the victims met with police soon after. The first victim reported that in fall 2002, she went to the neighbor’s house to ask a friend’s father for help. She said that due to her family’s economic situation, her clothes did not fit properly and she needed help pinning them.
When the victim went to her friend’s father, whom she trusted, he allegedly brought her into the bedroom, and Krogh began touching her inappropriately and sexually assaulting her. She said that after this incident, she suffered “significant difficulties” due to dealing with the “emotional and psychological consequences.”
The following day, another victim met with the Taylorsville Police Department to disclose what had happened to her. She stated that in the summer of 2000, she was at her friend’s house for a sleepover. Krogh allegedly came into the backyard with her and her friend and began talking to her.
When her friend fell asleep, Krogh began to inappropriately touch and sexually abuse the second victim. He stopped when his wife suddenly returned home and called for him. The victim stated that she suffered “significant emotional and psychological issues” and has been in therapy to cope with the assault.
A week after speaking with the second victim, a third victim who was allegedly sexually abused by Krogh was located. She stated that he had inappropriately touched her and sexually assaulted her during a sleepover sometime in 1997, when she was 7 years old.
The third victim stated that Krogh had told her “not to say anything,” and she had never disclosed the abuse to anyone. Following the assault, the victim suffered “significant anxiety and trust issues throughout her life.”
During the Taylorsville Police Department’s investigation, they learned that Krogh was charged with sexual abuse of a child in 2008, but the case was dismissed before it went to trial.
He was also identified as a suspect in another sexual assault of a child incident in 2023, but the case was closed by the Division of Child and Family Services because the child victim was “uncooperative.”
On Oct. 30, Taylorsville Police stopped Krogh as he was leaving his place of employment and transported him to the police department for an interview. When confronted with the reports of sexually abusing children, Krogh allegedly asked for an attorney.
Krogh was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail. Authorities believe he is likely to flee the state if released from jail.
