Taco John’s offers free meal to those in need of food
Oct. 30, 2025

Taco John’s is responding to growing food insecurity by offering a free meal to those in need.

Through Sunday, customers who request the “community special” will receive a bean or beef burrito with an order of Potato Oles.

“Nobody wants anyone to be hungry,” said Ted Miller, vice of president of operations for 18 Taco John’s locations, including all of them in Sioux Falls, Sioux City and the surroundings areas. “It’s something we want to support, and hopefully our government can get everything resolved by this time.”

The meal will be offered at all locations from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

“Hopefully, people respect the process, and the ones that need it are the ones that take advantage of it,” Miller said.

Additionally, Taco John’s will make a donation on Nov. 6 for every Taco Bravo sold systemwide that day.

The funding will be given to local food banks to help replenish their food supply.
