OPELOUSAS, La. (
KLFY) — Residents of St. Landry Parish can burn their trash again.
The St. Landry Parish Government has posted on its official Facebook page that it has lifted its parishwide burn ban, effective immediately.
“Recent rainfall and improved weather conditions have reduced fire risks across the parish, allowing safe resumption of outdoor burning,” the post read.
The ban was issued Oct. 8.
According to the State Fire Marshal, four parishes statewide remain under burn bans, including Acadia and Evangeline parishes.
