Spooky & Chilly: Halloween forecast for the Big Country
On Halloween day, highs are expected to reach the mid-70s with sunny skies and a light breeze from the south at 5 to 10 mph. As we approach trick-or-treat time, temperatures will start to cool nicely.
Sunset is at 6:50 p.m. in the Key City. Some families may begin trick-or-treating as early as 6:00 p.m., with most wrapping up around 9:00 p.m. on Friday. During this time, a few clouds will begin to move in, but no rain is expected. Conditions will stay dry and comfortable throughout the evening.
Around 7:00 p.m., temperatures will be near 69 degrees before dipping to about 65°F by 8:00 p.m. and 62°F by 9:00 p.m. on Friday. By then, it may start to feel a bit chilly, but that’s right around the time most kids will be heading home with their bags full of candy. Overnight, temperatures will continue to cool with a morning low near 40 degrees.
A few tips for Halloween night: bring a light jacket for the kids in case they get chilly, carry a flashlight for after sunset, and remember to stay safe while having fun!
