Juvenile charged in connection with West Ogden homicide from August

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — A juvenile has been charged with murder in connection with an August shooting that killed one and injured two others.

Juvenile court records indicate that a 15-year-old male, who ABC4.com will not be naming, was involved in a fatal shooting near 9300 West and 900 South

in an area west of Ogden on Aug. 31, 2025.

The incident ended with one victim being fatally shot in the head, and two others being injured from gunshot wounds. One of the injured victims was just 5 years old.

According to court documents, two females allegedly recognized the juvenile “as the shooter.” Another eyewitness gave a physical description that police say matches the 15-year-old.

Police say multiple interviews place the 15-year-old suspect at the scene. Witnesses also told officers that the shooter fled in a silver Mercedes-Benz. The juvenile suspect allegedly told police he decided to sell his car, a silver Mercedes-Benz, which he was driving the night of the shooting.

Documents show the 15-year-old told police he denied shooting, but admitted that two days after the incident, he “threw his handgun into the woods.”

Further investigation shows that the juvenile suspect’s phone places him in the area of the shooting at the time in which it occurred.

The 15-year-old is being charged in juvenile court.

Police also arrested Michael Gaisbauer, 18, in connection with the shooting. However, Gaisbauer’s arrest took place in September, and charges have yet to be filed against him.

Eli Lee Keddington, 20, has been formally charged with obstruction of justice relating to the incident.
