Food donation sites are getting creative in Mariposa

MARIPOSA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One local food bank is getting creative with ways to inspire donations by placing drop boxes around town – and in front of banks.

Like many other food banks, Mariposa’s Manna House is turning to the community to help prepare for the lapse in EBT benefits taking effect Nov. 1.

To inspire donations, the food bank will be placing donation boxes at three sites across town, including:

  • The Heritage House on 5200 Hwy 49 N. (Hot lunches available daily at  11:30 a.m., food boxes available once a week)
