Child sex abuse images found on wall of Fairfield home, man arrested: sheriff

(KRON) — A Fairfield man was arrested Thursday for possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said CSAM images were found hanging on the wall of a residence that was searched amid the investigation.

Edgar Montenegro, 42, of Fairfield, was already in the Solano County Jail on unrelated charges when he was arrested and booked Thursday for multiple felony counts stemming from the CSAM investigation. Montenegro faces charges of distribution of child sexual abuse material and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office served a search warrant in the 900 block of Buchanan Street and “located multiple items of evidence, including canvas images of CSAM that were hanging on the wall,” authorities said.

Montenegro is being held on $100,000 bail.
