Baldwin man charged with 12 counts of possession of child porn
Travis Laquan Chavis, 42, of Baldwin was arrested Wednesday by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on 12 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Baldwin Police Department and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
Chavis was booked into the St. Mary Parish jail. Bond details were not released.
The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
