PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — Basketball legend Allen Iverson was celebrated at the Annual World Trade Centers Day Celebration, where he received the prestigious Global Icon Award for his lasting impact on sports and culture around the world.
“This event showcases the global spirit that defines Philadelphia,” said WTCGP officials. “Honoring icons like Allen Iverson highlights how excellence in any field, sports, business, or leadership, can inspire worldwide impact.”
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker was also honored, receiving the Global Leadership Award, and Harold T. Epps received the Global Equity Award.
