“It’s not just for youths either,” Stephens said. “We’ve had many adults who have taken their first deer during one of our mentored hunts, or who simply want to remember their first successful harvest. The certificates are very popular.”
Hunters can download and personalize their certificates by visiting www.agfc.com/freepubs. There are two versions available, one that allows users to upload their own photo, and another featuring a deer in the field for those who may have forgotten to snap a picture in the excitement.
Certificates can be filled out online, printed, and presented to the hunter. Stephens says the AGFC has also added versions for other milestones, including a person’s first bear, rabbit, squirrel, dove, or fish.
