Orangeville man arrested in child pornography case

ORANGEVILLE, Ill (WTVO) — The Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Clint J. Oakes in connection with a child pornography investigation.

According to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, October 28th, detectives executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of E. St. James Rd. in rural Orangeville, as part of an investigation that began on September 18th.

Oakes, 26, was located and taken into custody and is currently being held without bail at the Stephenson County Jail. He has been charged with 10 counts of dissemination of child pornography, under the age of 13, and two counts of duty to report as a sex offender.

Police say the investigation remains active, and additional criminal charges are possible.
