Driver airlifted after crash on I-55 in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was airlifted after a crash on Interstate 55 in Ridgeland.

The crash occurred on I-55 South between the Natchez Trace and Lake Harbour bridges on October 30, 2025.

According to Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers, the driver of a blue Dodge Challenger was transported by AirCare to a local hospital.

Authorities closed one lane of I-55 South while officers investigated and removed debris.
