Bum leg suspect and 2 others wanted in Mid-City car theft
According to police, a man left his car parked in a parking lot at the corner of Tulane and South Carrollton avenues on Thursday, October 16. They say the man returned to the parking lot 6 days later to find his car gone.
The NOPD released security camera footage that shows the car was stolen around 4:25 in the morning on Friday, October 17. The car is described as a 2002 Buick Century.
In the security camera footage, you see three suspects around the car after backing up a white sedan toward the Buick’s front bumper. The suspects are seen opening the driver’s side door on the car as well as its hood. But instead of driving the car away, police say they hooked a tow line to the Buick to steal it.
One of the suspects appears to have a leg injury of some sort because he was wearing a walking boot.
