Each of the 2,300 stores will give $500 to nearby emergency services and veteran groups. The funds aim to boost local safety efforts and support those who protect their towns.
“The Hometown Heroes program reflects our deep gratitude for those who serve—military members, veterans, and first responders,” Hal Lawton, president and CEO of Tractor Supply said in a statement, according to NJ.com.
Across New Jersey, 49 groups will get help from 33 stores. The state’s share adds up to $16,500 and will be distributed to organizations based on needs.
