Slidell woman indicted in connection with fatal hit-and-run case

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted a Slidell woman in connection with an Aug. 13 hit-and-run, which claimed the life of a child.

According to the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, 40-year-old Connie Estes was charged with hit and run driving resulting in death and obstruction of justice. The charges are related to the death of 6-year-old Jeremiah Ramirez.

Estes’ arraignment will be set for Nov. 5, 2025.
