Sabrina Carpenter wears outfit from this New Orleans boutique on 'Saturday Night Live'
WGNO’s Kenny Lopez went to find out what the singer wore, especially since she wore it when she hosted “Saturday Night Live.”
Lopez discussed Sabrina Carpenter fashion with Century Girl owner, Leah Blake, and Manager of Century Girl, Bethany Pickard.
Century Girl is a locally-owned, vintage couture boutique which specializes in rare, vintage pieces, and now they specialize in Sabrina Carpenter fashion.
“We got an e-mail and couldn’t believe it. Sabrina’s team reached out to us, and we were actually on our way to Los Angeles, so we met up with them, and they picked out what they wanted. They bought a piece and we were very excited because they chose to keep it,” Pickard said.
Carpenter recently hosted and performed on “Saturday Night Live,” in which she wore the outfit.
“It was a fall 1996 super rare Dolce & Gabbana set, a red rose silk dress and matching jacket set,” Pickard said.
“It really is crazy that it actually happened especially because we play Sabrina Carpenter all the time in the shop, so it feels like a manifestation,” Pickard said.
Pickard said that at Century Girl they have many other vintage looks that they think Sabrina Carpenter would love.
Century Girl is located at 2023 Magazine Street.
Other celebrities like Lana Del Rey and Jennifer Coolidge are also customers of Century Girl.
