Missouri City police nab two suspects in fatal Walmart shooting

MISSOURI CITY, Texas (KIAH) – Police in Missouri City said two suspects are in custody for murder after a man was shot and killed in a Walmart parking lot Monday.

Police said the man was treated on the scene by Fort Bend EMS and taken to Memorial Herman, where he died. Officials said during the shooting, they learned a child was in the vehicle with the man at the time of the shooting; however, the child was not harmed.

Police said the shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. at 5501 Highway 6 in Missouri City. Officials said they are working toward notifying the family of the victim and getting the child back with family members. The shooting occurred in the back of the parking lot, away from the store.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing. No reason for the shooting has been released, or the identities of anyone involved.
