Man killed in Argay Terrace Neighborhood identified, authorities still seeking suspect
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The man who was shot and killed in Northeast Portland on Monday night has been identified by authorities.

Portland resident Derrik Rice, 39, was killed in the shooting

that took place in the 4500 block of Northeast 125th Place in the Argay Terrace Neighborhood, the Portland Police Bureau said.

Police are still searching for the suspect in the shooting.

Officers responded just after 5:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting on Monday night. When they arrived at the scene, police found a man, later identified as Rice, injured with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities said at the time that the suspect left the scene and no arrests were made.

Rice’s family was notified of his death and provided a photo of him for the public.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Portland police.
