Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin says a man was helping a relative with a piece of farming equipment Tuesday when the equipment caught a piece of clothing, pulling his arm in.
Champlin says the man sustained “substantial damage” to his arm, and he was taken to the hospital.
According to the sheriff, deputies met the private vehicle taking the man to the hospital and rendered emergency aid by applying a tourniquet. He says they then escorted them to the responding emergency medical personnel.
Champlin says the man was later flown to a hospital for further medical treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time.
