Disabled SC/GA residents may qualify for help after losing SNAP

GEORGIA/SOUTH CAROLINA (WJBF) – Due to the government shutdown, many people across the two-state won’t receive SNAP benefits after October 31st.

New Disabled South wants to step in and help the disabled in several southern states including Georgia and South Carolina.

The agency’s Food Assistance Fund is offering one-time payments to help people impacted by not receiving SNAP. Funding is first-come, first-serve. This means they will give one-time payments to people until funds run out.
