83-year-old killed in Afton crash

An 83-year-old Wisconsin man was killed in a crash in Afton on Monday afternoon, according to an incident report from Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities say a 76-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Corvette east on I-94 near Manning Avenue around 2:15 p.m. when he collided with someone driving a Toyota Corolla.

The Corvette lost control, spun out, and went into the ditch, where it rolled. Authorities say the passenger of the vehicle, Thomas Samuel Amsbaugh, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
