Texans Google “Move to France” a lot: Study

DALLAS (KDAF) — Texans are increasingly turning to Google to search for ways to move abroad, with the state ranking 15th in the nation for such queries, according to a recent analysis by moveBuddha.

The study, which examined Google Trends data, found that Texas residents are particularly interested in practical aspects of moving overseas, ranking 12th among states for searches related to visa requirements and retirement destinations.

The analysis revealed that Texans disproportionately search for moving to France, England, and Germany compared to residents of other states.

Interestingly, the South as a whole leads the nation in searches related to leaving America, suggesting a broader regional interest in exploring life abroad.

Although it’s uncertain if Texans are truly planning to leave the country, their online search behavior suggests a significant curiosity about life beyond U.S. borders.
