Teenager killed in UTV accident on Hatfield McCoy trail

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WOWK) – A teenager is dead following a UTV accident that took place late Sunday night, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.

According to Captain Dwayne Duffield, the UTV was traveling on the Devil Anse trail near Williamson, Mingo County, West Virginia. Duffield said that the vehicle took a turn too hard and fell down an embankment and into a ravine.

When first responders arrived at the scene, the teen had already died.

The Division of Natural Resources is investigating.
