Shawnee County spokeswoman Amanda Monhollon said in a press release that Southwest Jordan Road between Southwest 97th Street and Southwest 93rd Street will close starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. Workers will be removing and replacing a bridge that crosses over a tributary of the Wakarusa River during this project.
Monhollon said the new bridge is scheduled to be ready for traffic by Friday, March 13 next year. During the project, drivers can follow local roads to get around the project area. Signs will be posted indicating that part of Southwest Jordan Road is inaccessible.
