Teasett was injured in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s Las Vegas HBCU Classic.
On Monday, Grambling coach Mickey Joseph provided an update on Teasett’s injury.
“He’s responsive, he’s in good spirits. Out of respect for his family, they’re gonna keep everything tight to the vest, and that’s their prerogative, ” said Joseph.
Before transferring to Grambling, Teasett played for Southern University.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with C’zavian as he continues to recover,” said Grambling State University President Martin Lemelle Jr. “Moments like these remind us that football is more than a game — it’s a brotherhood rooted in courage, care, and community. C’zavian is a remarkable young man whose strength and resolve reflect the heart of this institution. We are all rallying around him and praying for his full recovery.”
Joseph said the Grambling football team’s general manager and head trainer are still in Las Vegas with Teasett.
