Tornado watch issued for baton rouge, surrounding areas until sunday morning 1

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A tornado watch is in effect until 6 a.m. for the majority of south Louisiana, including metro Baton Rouge, and southwest Mississippi.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes are possible through early Sunday morning.

Have your severe weather safety plan in place now, ahead of any warnings that are issued overnight. Remember, your safe spot is in the most interior room of your home (bathroom or closet) and away from windows.
