One person killed in early morning crash on I-85 South near Beatties Ford: Medic

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An early morning crash on I-85 South near Beatties Ford Road left one person dead Sunday, according to the Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services Agency (Medic).

According to Medic, paramedics were called to the scene around 2:25 a.m. and confirmed that one person was pronounced dead on arrival. No one else was taken to the hospital.

The crash caused traffic delays overnight, but the scene has since been cleared.
