SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the official portrait of the new First Presidency.

President Dallin H. Oaks was announced as the 18th president of the LDS Church on Oct. 14, 2025. During a live broadcast, Oaks named President Henry B. Eyring and President D. The church reportedly reorganized the First Presidency after Russell M. Nelson, the church’s 17th president, passed away on Sept. 27, 2025, at the age of 101. Before becoming president of the church, Oaks served as First Counselor to President Nelson from 2018 to 2025.
