Landry questions raising LSU football ticket prices following blowout loss to Texas A&M

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry says LSU and its Board of Supervisors should rethink plans to raise ticket prices after Saturday’s loss to Texas A&M.

The Tigers lost 49-25 to the Aggies in Tiger Stadium.

With the loss, the Tigers are now 5-3 on the season.

After the loss, Governor Landry took to X, formerly known as Twitter and posted:

‘I think @LSUsports and the LSU Board of Supervisors needs to rethink their actions to raise ticket prices for next year after tonight’s showing!’

On Friday, the LSU Board of Supervisors approved requests from LSU Athletics to increase prices for football season tickets and parking.

Season ticket price increases range from $25 to $125. A representative from LSU Athletics said one reason for the increases is the Southeastern Conference’s plan to implement a nine-game conference schedule next season.
