Around 5:22 p.m. Austin Police officers, Austin-Travis County EMS medics and the Austin Fire Department responded to a report of a dead person in Shoal Creek.
Officers arrived at the scene and located a woman who police say was “obviously deceased.” The woman was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m.
Austin Police said the person has not been identified.
Just before 7 p.m., Austin Police said in a post on X that officers were investigating a dead person call near the 4600 block of Unity Circle, which is near Shoal Creek.
Earlier this morning, first responders conducted a water rescue after reports of people getting washed downstream near 5200 Burnet Road. Austin Police said the call came in around 12:40 a.m. Saturday.
Austin Police did not specify if these incidents were connected.
