Semi crash causes officials to close all lanes of I-65 Marion County

UPDATE (3:23 p.m.): As of 3:23 p.m., all lanes of I-65 southbound at miler marker 111 were open. An inspector reported that the bridge that was struck during the crash only sustained cosmetic damage, according to INDOT.

INDIANAPOLIS — All lanes of I-65 southbound in Marion County near mile-marker 111 were closed due to a crash involving a semi truck on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, around 1:14 p.m., a semi carrying a military vehicle struck a bridge near East Washington Street. The bridge was inspected and the inspector has been cleared.
