Police locate 4 children allegedly abducted in Riverdale, suspect still at large
Officers say the children were recovered and are undergoing medical evaluation.
Troopers say they believe the man who drove off in the car was 30-year-old Austin Bell, who was allegedly spotted driving off in the vehicle.
Bell has not been apprehended, officers said.
Police described the incident as a “domestic-related kidnapping” and said Bell is not the children’s father.
Troopers say they are now searching for a silver 2010 Acura MDX with Illinois LIcense plates, with the tag number FE60619.
Bell is described as a Black male who stands about 5-foot-7 and weighs around 215 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black varsity jacket with white stitching.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bell is asked to contact the Riverdale Police Department Detective Division at (708) 841-2203 or dial 911.
