One injured, driver arrested for DUI after head-on collision in Eagle Mountain
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC4) — One person was injured, and a driver has been arrested after a head-on collision earlier tonight.

According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, one individual was arrested after a head-on collision that occurred around 7 p.m.

Reportedly, the driver of a truck was travelling eastbound on State Route 73 when he was struck by a truck pulling a trailer that was turning onto SR73 from Eagle Mountain Boulevard.

The male driver of the eastbound truck reported possible head and chest trauma and was transported to the hospital in potentially serious condition, according to Sergeant Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the truck and trailer, identified only as a male, was taken into custody and is being booked into the Utah County jail. He is facing DUI charges.

Reportedly, the area near the crash was experiencing traffic and closures following the incident. However, crews have dealt with the scene, and it is now clear.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office stated, “Please remember, don’t drink and drive.”
