From coats to hoodies; New drive to keep students warm this winter
The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas is teaming up with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot and Jiffy Laundry to collect hoodies for students in need as colder weather approaches.Traditionally held as an annual coat drive, organizers had become aware of the trend for young people to don hoodies instead of traditional large coats. The decision was made to provide students a garment that they would be more likely to wear in the winter months.
The Hoodie Drive will run through November 21, and residents can donate new or gently used hoodies at one of three collection sites — KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot at 620 Highway 5 North, Jiffy Laundry at 1299 South Main Street, and the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas at 1042 Highland Circle, all located in Mountain Home.

Every hoodie donated will be professionally cleaned before being delivered to local schools for distribution.
